Iron Splicer!

Yikes! The time limit has passed, and we still have no entries!

If the contestants are still interested, we can do what we did with the first Iron Splicer contest... we wait until one collection is posted, then the other contestant has 24 hours to post theirs or forfeit.

Alternatively, if bananawaddledee and metsy aren't interested in finishing this contest, we can just call it off.

Either way, I think we'll skip this week's contest and take some time to put our heads together and decide how to manage the time limit aspect better!

I'm going to be out of town and inconsistently online for the next few days. Hopefully metsy will get their collection in on time (fingers crossed!). When they do, the judges (that includes Zaxis!) can send me their scores.

Even if metsy doesn't make the deadline and bananawaddledee wins by default, I think it would be nice if the judges could still send in scores and comments for bananawaddledee's collection.

I'll tabulate the scores and announce them by Saturday at the very latest.

Battle: Jellicent is over! Congratulations to both splicers.

Each splice received a score out of ten from each judge, and the whole collection also received a score out of ten from each judge. The scores have been tallied together to protect the anonymity of the judges, so the scores are presented here out of forty. The contestant with the highest total score wins the trophy and the coveted title of Iron Splicer!

i do like the time constraints with the regular few days to enter splices but lurking on this thread, it kind of looks like people need a week at most
bunch of situations come up, it seems, that prohibits any contestant to submit anything
so, as far as time limit goes, it's really up to the contestant to withdraw from the contest (if already participating, either during or before) whenever they know they can't make it, or simply notify you in hopes of getting another day to the limit?

i love watching this by the way. and i'd participate if i wasn't so intimidated. ;u;

Looks like we're not going to have a contest this week. Anyone who's interested in competing in the future, send me a message or indicate your interest in this thread... next time we have two interested parties, we'll go forward!

This site has really slowed down in the short time I've been on it (probably because I joined at the end of summer). I was hoping to wait a couple more competitions before I went again, but since there's not much else to do here, and because I have no life, you can count me in for next week.

Even though I lack any kind o' reputation, can I enter th' competition next week?
