Ok here's my entry for tough: and here is cool this is just really low quality and also even if it wasn't, even if someone redid this with proper splicing It wouldn't really be very creative or tough just ripped can I give a 5/50 or is that too drastic

My entry for the Tough branch of the contest: Vilasicranum (Vɨˈlɒsɨræptər (Phonetic spelling of 'Velociraptor') + Cranium)Steel/Rock Having recently been introduced by hired scientists, this ludicrously violent Pokémon was created for the pure purpose of combat. As such, many League facilities have banned Vilasicranum from competing in battles.
Its skeleton is made up of metal, allowing for it to be extremely resilient to direct attacks. As a way to attack, Vilasicranum bash their opponents with their exoskeletal skull.Components: Charizard (Mega X), Aggron (Mega), Rampardos, Cofagrigus, Braviary, Kyurem (Black), Heliolisk Colouring: Marowak (Shiny), Luxio (Shiny), Liepard (Shiny)

buiznesskakuna: Okay, jeez, well, I'm afraid the quality of the upload is just as important as the quality of the splice itself. Underneath that mess, however, is what seems like it would be a pretty decent entry, if not simple. Though if I'm correct in guessing that's an eye on it's hand, it's a nice touch. Overall, 12/50. (I'll give you an extra point of you can confirm that that is, in fact, an eye. But be honest.)

I just want to jump in for a second. The problem really isn't the size of it, more the quality. It seems to have been saved as something other than .png, which takes a lot way from the quality of the sprite. The splicing seems to have been smushed together rather than different parts grafted together on a base. Instead of being resized the parts look stretched, which takes away from the quality again. Like it's been said, the idea is there, but the means to actually make it seem lacking.

Couldn't you just keep them up? As different posts? Also that's totally alright. Everyone started somewhere, and you can absolutely improve. Critique like this, the type that states what is technically wrong and also tells how to fix it/improve it is the type you should listen to. So don't fret!

my eyes hurt from coloring this abomination at 1 am so I hope I didn't miss any real recolor details had no idea whether to put this thing in tough or cool so let's go with cool because it has less entries

VGBMichaelI don't think this was ever clarified, so I might as well ask now! It's only one splice per category, but can the same splice be entered into more than one category? i.e. i was thinking of entering my cool splice into both the cool and tough categories. Huh... That's a very good question. I'll have to discuss this with the other judges. Almost forgot, we decided no because it would be too boring. While you don't have to enter all five categories, we still encourage you to make as many splices as possible.

chandelure: Well thanks, I appreciate that. As for the judging... This definitely could've gone in either category, it has qualities for both. As far as I can tell you're good with the coloring, and the colors themselves are nice, they make it look like a Halloween mascot! It looks a bit awkward where the arms connect to the body, but overall, this gets a 41/50.

Not sure if I'm doing this right since I've only just joined the site XD My entry for the Tough contest, Sigrydoll This thing does look pretty tough. Black and red always works, and the frills around the neck are also nice. The Sigilyph head is a great fit. However, the fitting is kinda weird, and the hands are just there. Honestly, this thing deserves a solid 35, but I'll have to remove a few points for the jpeggery going on here. 32/50.

poshmop: This looks like another case of would've-done-better-in-the-tough-category, (of course, I don't judge the though category so I can't say for sure.) But judging on it's coolness alone, it's not too bad, there's something there. It looks like you went a bit overboard with the dark colors, though, and a couple outlines on the hands are missing. Overall, this gets a 26/50. I'm also going to bring leqso's splice down a couple points due to awkwardness in the crotch area that I didn't notice before.
