if you complete 5 rounds in a row, you'll be some kind of god/goddess to me. I dunno which one you are. I will be neither, for I am SATAN That works too, I'm down for that.

:U Almost Latiken, except for the arms! I'll start posting splices later tonight~! Yeah, I couldn't figure out how to do the arms, so I added hair instead.

We'll wait on your go-ahead, VGBMichael. You've still got plenty of time in case there's anything you want to tweak.
Never mind, I see we've already got it. Alright judges, send me your scores!

Well, Battle Latias/Latios is over, and it has been another barnburner! Congratulations to both splicers! Without further ado, here are the judges' scores and a selection of their comments: VGBMichael Splice #1: 29"The legs seem a bit weirdly placed, like too wide apart but the entire splice seems pretty cool." "An original take on a classic splice. The left leg seems a bit misplaced and the transition into Blaziken's hair is a bit blocky, though." Splice #2: 33"I LOVE this splice, but it loses points for using 6th-gen sprites." "I'm absorbed by the cuteness." Splice #3: 27"While this may all come together quite well, I'm a bit disappointed by the fact that it's pretty just a painted-over Tyranitar with wings stuck on its back." "Cool idea, but the execution is a little simple." Splice #4: 26"I like the idea of duality you're going for here, but it looks very strange and the perspective of the two sides doesn't make any sense whatsoever. You need to realize that there are quite some key differences between the Lati@s duo, aside from colouring." "I do like how you did two splices to show the unique sides with this one." Whole Collection: 30"You did a great job with these although I would've liked to see more variety instead of the standard 2-Pokemon splices." "While they may not be the very best, at least they don't lack variety." Total: 145Kullenuska
Splice #1: 27"Interesting idea." "A bit of off lining on the tail, but aside from that it's a great splice." Splice #2: 30"I appreciate what you did here; you basically created your own unique Pokemon." "Weird combination of parts, but it kinda works." Splice #3: 31"Oh man, it looks really good. The legs do look a bit misshapen, though." "Wow just wow. This is very unexpected in a good way. Those body proportions seem a bit weird." Splice #4: 37"Excellent retype and the shading's amazing on this one." "Stunning. I love it." Whole Collection: 34"Another great variety of splices of very similar, high-scoring quality." "As usual, your splices are always such a pleasant surprise." Total: 159With yet another stunning collection, Kullenuska has won this battle and the coveted title of Iron Splicer: Latias/Latios! Here are your custom trophies, courtesy of our friend lavatarorigin: Congratulations Kullenuska! We already know you're planning to exercise your right to come back again to face another challenger, and next on our list is... alakazarn! If you could each send word that you are ready to go, we'll get started on another whirlwind pokemon splicing adventure! VGBMichael, congratulations on a very fine showing. You are, as ever, welcome to return to the splicing arena to challenge again for the title of... Iron Splicer!

Not sure if it's alright to ask here, but I read through the first post and I'm a little confused. How does someone go about entering this: do they wait until there's a spot open among the two, or is there something else one has to do?

At the moment, we've got a waiting list for contestants. Once you let us know you're interested, we add you to the list! If a winner chooses to stay on, we choose the next challenger from the list. If not, we take the next two. Sorry that was unclear!

Alrighty, so the list right now (not counting Alakazarn) is:
1. Ohctanex 2. Makkilemore 3. Okami 4. Pilesofpixels 5. Phoenixsmoon
This is the most interest we've ever had! Keep it up, splicers!

Side thing: Could we keep a list of winners in the OP?

Side thing: Could we keep a list of winners in the OP? The year is 2025. The forums are dead. You go back to the forums, nostalgically, remembering the splices you and plenty of others have made. of course, since then, 7 more generations have come to existence, so some of the pokemon are unrecognizable. You find a thread titled "Iron Splicer!". You remember it fondly, all the good times spent there, all the strong competition. You decide to start from the original post and go from there. A drop down menu is there, containing a list of winners. Kullenuska's name dominates the post. It loads so much Kullenuska, the website crashes. No more forum, no more nostalgia. All Kullenuska.

You refresh the page and examine Kullenuska's entries. Iron Splicer: Blaziken, Iron Splicer: Cryogonal, Iron Splicer: Venusaur. In every one of them, Kullen has simply entered by splicing the pokemon with Arcefisk four times and retyping it each time. You examine the URL. It's changed to "arcefiskcult.boards.kusk". You check the forum sections. Only three exist: Kullenuska Appreciation, Cult of Arcefisk, and Old Gods Insult Board. You look at the theme. All the background mons are various Arcefisk. You look out your window. You see Arcefisks hurtling towards you. You close your eyes, and await death's sweet embrace.

I have added a list of winners to the OP.
VGBMichael, you have been added to the list. And don't knock your skills, you're a fighter and everyone here knows it. It's only a matter of time before victory is in your grasp!
