Good day and welcome to the TSplicA League Contest. For this particular contest, I'd like you to splice together a team for a dual-typed gym. The top three winners will all get a totally fancy trophy and maybe a drawing or something I don't know. Rules - Your gym team must be based off of one particular dual-type combination - Neither of your types should have been taken by other competitors - Your team must consist of three Pokémon, the overall regular format - Your splices must be made specifically for this contest, and of course by yourself - I suppose you can use sprites from any generation, but make sure that the style fits IV-V - Have fun or something cheesy like that Entries - VGBMichael (Fire/Dark) - pokemonscrap (Ground/Fighting) - actualcattyler (Steel/Poison) - kullenuska (Ice/Electric) - Ohctanex (Grass/Flying) - ShadedWind (Dragon/Bug)

What is the deadline for this contest?

January 12th, I'd say. Edit: Actually disregard that

I know the deadline for this contest has already passed, but I'm curious anyway-- when you say dual type splices, what exactly do you mean? If I chose, say, Fire/Fighting as my dual type, does that mean I can only splice Fire types with Fighting types, or I can only splice pokemon that are already Fire/Fighting, or that I have to make three Fire/Fighting types but it doesn't matter what I splice to make them, even if the base Pokemon are neither Fire nor Fighting?

The resulting splices only have to fit the description of their typing, the used Pokémon are of no matter. Also, disregard the deadline, I'll just let the contest go on at least until I have a reasonable amount of entries.

I will attempt this challenge if at least one other splicer commits to doing it too!

You know what? I'm in. I'm pretty new at splicing and what better way to get good fast than by entering myself into a contest, yeah?

Alright, badass!
Since the rules say we can't reuse types, I'm going to claim a pair in advance and save us accidentally splicing teams with the same type. My three original fakemon will be...
Ground/Fighting type!
I'll post them in the thread once they're made.

I'm in too, and I'll claim fire/dark. Wait, doesn't that rule make it so this contest can't have more than 9 entries?

That's true, a maximum of 9 entries seems reasonable, no?

I suppose so. Anyway, here's my entry. Introducing Quilyena, Umbrix, and Nightmare.

Took me most of an otherwise potentially productive day, but here we go. My Ground/Fighting gym, in the order they would be fought:
Clawger Soiveland Clawgius (evolved form of Clawger)

Introducing Quilyena, Umbrix, and Nightmare. It seems like one of your images broke there.

Oh, yeah, I know what happened. It's fixed now. Btw, imafancyman, fire was already taken (by me). You'll have to pick something else.

Updated the OP. imafancyman, do you still wish to enter with a different type combination or are you out?
