So this is posted at around !2:35 AM Mountain Time Zone. I think it's pretty obvious that I don't get enough sleep. Occasionally it's not from just doing schoolwork, but just because the option to not sleep is just to my avail. (hint. the internet's existence*
I need some help getting to sleep at night. Methods that can be done, things I can do to help me feel sleepy.
This is me asking for help, since I go to school occasionally with 4-6 hours of sleep.
What can be done to get the most in sleeping hours?

Turn off all your electronic devices and put them as far away in your room as possible.
Drink warm milk or tea? I think I heard that's good.
Work out before bed so you're already tired.
Eye mask maybe? Lately I've been sleeping with a pillow over the top half of my face.
I dunno..

These are all good ideas! However, you should probably try to focus on your sleep rhythm! A good night's sleep consists of multiple "sleep cycles", which each last around an hour and a half. I've found that if I have a routine wakeup period, I'll become sleepy around the times where those cycles would start/end to match with my wakeup time. You should generally try to find amounts of sleep as multiples of 1.5 hours. A moderate sleep is 4.5 hours, a pretty good sleep is 6 hours, and a great sleep is 7.5 hours. I routinely get 6 hours of sleep and feel fine, but that's because I make sure to time it correctly.
TIMING IS IMPORTANT TRY IT MAYBE.
You could also feel uncomfortable in your room. Maybe try rearranging your furniture, or sleeping with THE LARGEST TEDDY BEAR OR PILLOW OR EQUIVALENT YOU HAVE.
You could also focus on the sound of the inner ear - you know, that ringing you can hear if you concentrate? If you focus on that, you can not only follow it to sleep, but you could also probably follow it to lucid dreams, I've been told.
THERE GOOD LUCK

Oh man. I feel your pain, I use to have bad anxiety issues way back when and couldn't sleep worth a hoot. If you're a fan of tea, there's some tea out there of various flavors that you drink before bed and it's suppose to help you relax and such. Just... Try not to sugar it up too much. That definitely just cancels the sleeping affect. If you can stand listening to music, find some songs that aren't all uppity and listen to them. Usually I try to listen to softer songs that I like that I can close my eyes to and just kind of... Imagine myself somewhere else. It kinda gives you that mellow feeling.
And if stress ever keeps you from sleeping, trying getting a notepad and writing down all your feelings on it and why you're feeling those feelings. Ranting helps get things off your chest, even if it's not a person you're ranting too.
Aaand that's about all I can really give from personal experience. Good luck! :'D

Create a routine that you'll do EVERY NIGHT before you sleep. Do it EVERY NIGHT before you sleep. Don't do ANYTHING in your bed except for sleep. It's all about classical conditioning.
Also
try sleeping upside down on your bed
srsly

Disclaimer: This only works if you just can't sleep and don't have some kinda mental condition that keeps you from sleeping (like me!)

If your bed is really old
consider sleeping on the floor, it's probably not as bad for you???
Old beds cause a lot of pain, you know!
Or uh just get a new mattress.
