Things other than your art program of choice that you find useful when spriting. For actually finding sprites, I usually browse through The Psypokes sprite tables, but, since rightclick is disabled, I then usually go to Dragonfree's sprite generator to actually save the sprites to my computer. I also just recently discovered this tool for easily making custom palettes, although I usually only use the results as a starting point and manually adjust their HSV in GIMP to get the look I want (I find HSV much more intuitive than RGB, personally).

Nooooo, GIMP has layers, a better color-picker, native transparency, and lets me do color adjustments on the fly. I'm never, never going back to MSPaint.
EDIT: Oh, and it also saves all of my palettes for me so I can access any sprite palette I've used before without having to open a file.

Not as much as the ones I'm using. I mean, I'll still use Spriter's Resource if it's the most readily-available source (e.g. for looking at large groups of trainer sprites at once), but its spritesheets are huge, and I prefer to keep my workspace as small as possible. As for Pokestadium, I wasn't previously aware of it, but it only shows one pokemon's spriteset at a time, as opposed to Dragonfree's three, which is better for comparisons when I'm palette-hunting.
(EDIT: Also, I'm much less likely to want to use a site when you yell at me for not having heard of it.)

I recently stumbled upon this site which has splicable gen VI sprites. (the bolded links) Y'know, for anyone who's interested.

Okay so for the link that VGBMicheal put, the colors of the sprites keep glitching when I copy and paste them from one paint window to another. Any way around this?

the source paint window has the file saved in a format that puts a limit on its coloration (e.g. gifs, certain bitmaps)
