THE NEWEST GENERATION CONTEST *Welcome to my first splicing contest! As we all know, a new generation of Pokemon games- or even a remake of a generation- deserves new trainers, with new wacky concepts. I'm asking all of you to put your human splicing skills to the test to create a new type of trainer, or remake an old one! RULES
~ You can splice any type of trainer. Will they be a new type of Poke-fan? Will they be a strange human evolution of a Pokemon? It's all up to you. ~ Only one submission per person, please. ~ Please only use 2-D, non animated sprites. ~ It is fine to use any parts of Pokemon that you wish, but make sure that your trainer doesn't turn into a Pokemon! All entries still have to be recognizably human, or mutant. ~ Gijinkas are welcome ~ Have fun! SCORING ~Final scores will be out of 40 points. Up to ten points can be awarded for each of the following categories: Originality Creativity Appearance Adherence to guidelines PRIZES *An entire evolution line of Gijinkas! Please note that only one path of the Eeveelution line can be spliced.* *A chatbox slave to advertise your tumbler or website, if you wish* HAVE FUN! Leaderboard of Leaders 1) pokemonscrap: 31/40. Extra item given is a Spock Hand 2) Manatee Express: 29/40. Extra item given is a Fluttershy Plush. As well as a random hug, since I can't do math. Okami: 27/40. He also owns a new, signed Rubik Cube, since I can't spell.

I'm going to lose points on originality, but the thread title didn't leave me much choice. Behold, the Space Fiction Enthusiast

I'm going to lose points on originality, but the thread title didn't leave me much choice. Behold, the Space Fiction EnthusiastOriginality: So I see we have a Trekkie here! As you said, some points are lost because of your pull from the series, but it's a great splice of trainers, and Star Trek is always a good source. 7/10 Creativity: Any well made reference is a good one. Your alteration of Riley's hand is a good one. To be honest, I didn't even think of Star Trek in reference to this contest at all until I saw this splice... It definitely fits the title. However, this is just an embodiment of a culture, which is a great concept, but has been done more than once. 8/10 Appearance: Something's up with his legs, especially that right thigh... The torso doesn't follow the legs, and his shirt seems to want to leave that torso. However, credit must be given for the almost impeccable line art and your shot at creating more than one dimension by bringing his hand forward. The badge makes me squeal inside, but he seems to have it partially underneath his armpit... All in all, the plausibility of his posture is a bit low, but his clothing is very well done. And his hair. You can't forget the bowl cut. 6/10 Adherence to guidelines: No infringements that I can find. An easy ten points for you. 10/10 Total: 31/40, and a Spock Hand. I give you, the Neckbeard! Originality: Here we observe the rare and wild thirty year brony, ready to prey on an innocent Trekie... Their fandoms have clashed, but the brony's power is greatly limited. The Trekie swoops in for the kill and- Another pop culture splice! Ooohhhh, these are popular today. 7/10 Creativity: I've got to say that the pony on the back really does do it for me. I'm currently about to dry from laughter, imaging a biker from Pokemon that's been converted to a brony and is picketing outside the government buildings for My Little Ponyta rights. The age of the splice is a bit teasing though, and could be taken negatively. Creative, but a tad bit inconsiderate. Gotta say, that sign is worth some points. The man isn't necessary part of a newer generation, but he seems to be a straggler from the last... 8/10 Appearance: His beard is immaculate, but the rest of the art isn't... Think of the outline that you're using! Light gray pants with very light gray outlines make the pants seem like they're begging to spill out onto the ground, especially when they're combined with an outline that is almost entirely black. The Ponyta back is a nice touch but, considering his posture, the image should be at least partially cut off. The My Little Pony sign doesn't help at all in this category... It's just a flat board with a brown fill and a black outline. Shade it! Shading is an epic friend that you want to cuddle with every night! 4/10 Adherence to guidelines: No infringements that I can find. An easy ten points for you. 10/10 Total: 29/40, and a Fluttershy Plush. As well as a hug, since I can't do math.

I don't mean to be insubordinate, but Manatee Express' score adds up to 29, not 28.

A remake of my old N gajinka and a death form of him! Kinda rushed but, whatever its N, therefore i win Originality: I know you love N, and so do I. I can't tell what Pokemon you put in here, and the concept is a new one. However, the entire splice is basically a recolored N with wings. 6/10 Creativity: It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a devil boy! Most people just like to splice N with their favorite fluffy green bird/random bird, so it's nice to see a change. Don't believe me? Tumbler. But otherwise, this splice has a lower score because of it's simplicity and lack of changed elements. 6/10 Appearance: Nice and clean addition of the wings! They seem to be in the right spot. However, N's rubix cube seems to have become a part of his pant. He might want to fix that... The right wristband has strange coloring as well. His eye area seems a bit off in the shading/coloring area as well... 5/10 Adherence to Rules: No problems seen, no problems noted. An easy 10. 10/10 Total: 27/40, and a very expensive Rubix Cube, providing I did my math right.

Yeah, I was struggling on what the hell to put in the Neckbeard's hand, since before he had a walking sticky thing, I probably should have left it empty though.
