When I was younger I was way into reading, but.. Then video games and the internet happened. AND THEN TV SHOWS SHOWED UP ON THE INTERNET? Geez, I was screwed.
So basically, I like reading, but I don't know any good books! Maybe you guys can suggest some stuff, and I'll keep a list of everything, so if anyone else wants to find a book to read as well, they can get ideas here too.
anything really by chuck palahniuk, like fight club
uh
i am america and so can you
cloud atlas the book
goddamn art of war by sun tzu
sherlock holmes anything
go go GO GO
Other than that, Running in the Family by Michael Ondaatje (anything by Ondaatje, really), Roughing It by Mark Twain, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey.
the kin of ata are waiting for you
the earth abides
^ my top 3 like almost philosophical books
Paper Towns (my favorite)
An Abundance of Katherine's (almost favorite it's really close)
Looking for Alaska
Will Grayson Will Grayson (about two boys both named will grayson, one is gay one is not, it's interesting, as every chapter switches between the Will Graysons. John Green wrote all of one will Grayson's chapters and the other author David Levithan wrote all of the other ones, I forget which author wrote which Will Grayson)
The Fault in our Stars (this one I don't think I can send you because get this: So one day I went to the great american and canadian tour de nerdfighting, got my book signed by the author and his brother hank green, and my friend Tyler has this habit of lending out books I lent him, so I lent him practically all of my John Green books without telling me, I eventually got all of them back except this one because currently his ex girlfriend has it as he lent it to her while they were dating. So he's horrible. The book however is great.)
- kite runner by khaled hossani
- lord of the flies - william golding
- scott pilgrim *it's a book series, i demand it*
Really anything by Haruki Murakami, but specifically I'd recommend Kafka On the Shore, Sputnik Sweetheart, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, and finally Hard-Boiled Wonderland And The End Of The World.
Blindness by Jose Saramago
jPod or Microserfs, both by Douglas Coupland
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller because I love the absurdity
The Shadow of the Wind or The Angel's Game, both by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
And maybe a couple of non-fiction:
Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer (a really amazing look at Mormonism and religion in general)
The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge (super accessible biology reading about neuroplasticity)
A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson (if you're not thinking HELL YEAH SCIENCE by the end you're reading it wrong)
Life Stories, edited by David Remnick (a compilation of profiles written in the New Yorker, basically great writing and fascinating people)
Sherlock
The man in the iron mask
One who flew overs the cockoo's nest
Perks of Being a Wallflower
The Name of the Wind
The Other Boleyn Girl
The Princess Bride
Those hit a few different genres, and all are good reads :3

My absolute favorite book is The Favorite Game by Leonard Cohen. His other novel, Beautiful Losers, is also amazing.
Other than that, Running in the Family by Michael Ondaatje (anything by Ondaatje, really), Roughing It by Mark Twain, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey.

Anything by John Green. I can actually personally ship you like all of my John Green books. Except for one but long story I'll tell it at the end.
