Welcome back to Iron Splicer! This week's contest features two newcomers to the Splicing Stadium, pilesofpixels and moonbat! You will each have one week from the time of this post to create a collection of four original splices. Each splice may contain any number of sprites from the list given in the first post, but each one must contain and feature one particular sprite, the "Secret Ingredient" given below. Once your collections are complete, the judges will give each splice a score on the basis of your creativity and your technical skill, as well as a score for the entire collection, for variety and use of the Secret Ingredient. The contestant with the highest total score will be declared the winner, and will earn the right to continue on to face another challenger as well as a custom trophy by Lavatarorigin and the coveted title of Iron Splicer! Pilesofpixels, Phoenixsmoon, your very own Iron Splicer adventure is about to begin! Your Secret Ingredient is... Vulpix! You know the rules! You have until 12:00 noon Pacific time (3:00 Eastern, 8:00 GMT) on Thursday June 19th to present us with your brilliant creations! (Please remember to enlarge your sprites so we can see your skills in detail!) A la epissure!

Alright alright alright, half way done with these. First up is this weird fox thing. Vulpix's tails looked like they'd work well as tongues! Next we have a satyr guy! He's perpetually grumpy due to his short stature. Again, Vulpix's tails are great as a beard/hair combo

I do agree. Vulpix's tails are the best. Its hair stuff also works good as an embellishment on a teletubby thing... Thing,

Perspective is one of the hardest aspects to manage when you're making very involved and original sprites. It's unfortunate that it's also one of the aspects that jumps out the most when it's not done perfectly. I guess perspective is something that needs to be considered in the initial design phase of your creative process, if you're going for that perfect 40/40 splice.

Sticking only to the parts available might make it look wonky, like working with a huge piece on trying to use it on a smaller base.

Many of the others are more insistent on getting everything off existing Pokemon.
